An informal gathering for IFK parents and friends to get together and practice language skills or simply to get to know one another
Conversation Circle
Establish and maintain a library with fiction, non-fiction and teacher resources
Find sources for books and purchase books and/or solicit donations to expand the library offering
Organize the library including keeping an up-to-date list of books and labelling and sorting books
Create and maintain a system for checking books in and out of the library
Looking for helpers to organize the library, check books in and out. Work is largely independent.

Monthly opportunity to order inexpensive English books
Volunteers welcome to staple order forms and sort through and distribute books (3-4 hours per month)
Scholastic Book Orders
informal opportunity for parents and children to get to know one another
snacks are sold, profits go to PTA projects
usually takes place on the last Friday of each month after school
TGIF (Thank Goodness it`s Friday!)
Earth Day is an internationally recognized day of celebrating the Earth
on April 22nd
Due to vacation we celebrate it on May 6th, 2011.
The theme for this year at our school is "regional fruits and veggies"
Earth Day
opportunity for the children and parents to learn more about other countries
classes decorate their rooms with pictures, clothes, music, snacks and more from all over the world
help needed: parents who would like to help organize this event
International Day
takes place once a year on the Sunday of carnival here in Widdersdorf
IFK parents and children celebrate Carnival together, passing out sweets on the streets of Widdersdorf
everybody who would like to participate please contact the project leader
donations of sweets and other small giveaway objects are more than welcome
